What We're About
What We're About

Are you a community project needing specialist skills?
Or do you have skills and talents that could help a good cause?

Then Vital Spark Forum is for you. To put it simply, we're professional skills brokers. We find philanthropic projects needing skills and match them with talented professionals looking to help. And that's a vital spark that can deliver truly effective results.

We know that the ability to rapidly develop and nurture new organisational skills is key to the success of any project. We also know that many highly skilled professional people are keen to donate some of their time and share their valuable knowledge.

That's where Vital Spark Forum can help: we want to harness the skills that exist all around us in business, the media, sport, science and the arts and bring them to good causes in need of a little expertise.

Vital Spark Mission

Vital Spark Forum brings together a diverse group of people with a wide range of skills, experience and interests. This diversity, together with passion for helping others, is our strength: it enables us to combine a rich variety of ideas and practical skills to provide professional and creative support.

We give help - in any way we can and at no financial gain to ourselves - to selected philantropic projects we consider to ve run in an effective, business-like way. Projects where we can add value.

Vital Spark's Core Values

All areas of VSF's activities are guided by a set of of fundamental values:

  • Education
  • Social harmony
  • Environmental sustainability
  • The power of giving people opportunities

Although VSF strongly supports efforts to save Africa or make poverty history, we also believe that small is beautiful, and that just a few hours of creative and energetic work in your own local community can make a huge impact on the lives of people in need. Impact that you can see with our own eyes, and be proud of.
